De Nokia 230 is er voor de telefoonpurist. Bellen en sms'en, dat waar de mobiele telefoon ooit voor gemaakt is. De enige luxe die de Nokia 230 biedt zijn een 2 megapixel-camera en een MP3-speler. Zo kun je begeleid door je favoriete deuntjes genieten van de rust die een telefoon zonder notificaties te bieden heeft. Om optimaal gebruik te kunnen maken van de MP3-speler heeft Nokia de mogelijkheid toegevoegd om het geheugen uit te breiden. Met een micro SD-geheugenkaart tot 32 GB om precies te zijn. Terug naar de basis is soms zo slecht nog niet.
